Kintone Sales Growth Surges 36.4% in H1 2025, Driven by Southeast Asia Adoption Surpassing 38,000 Companies
Market penetration deepens, with 47% of all Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Section companies now using Kintone
TOKYO – December 2, 2025 – Cybozu, Inc. (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4776), today announced significant business momentum for its flagship no-code/low-code digital workplace platform, Kintone. For the first half of FY2025, Kintone's consolidated sales surpassed JPY 10.281 billion, marking a 36.4% increase year-on-year.
This growth is driven by accelerating market adoption across all sectors. As of June 2025, the number of companies subscribing to Kintone in Japan exceeded 38,000. Momentum is particularly strong in the large enterprise market, where 47% of all companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) Prime Section now use Kintone in at least one department. This is a notable increase from 44% at the end of December 2024.
Globally, the platform's SaaS metrics remain robust despite price revisions. Average Revenue Per Subdomain (ARPA) for Kintone increased to JPY 44,600, while the churn rate remained stable at a low 0.92%.
"We are making meaningful progress in the large enterprise market and are focused on promoting company-wide deployments," said Yoshihisa Aono, President of Cybozu, Inc. "To support this, we launched a new structure designed for large-scale deployments of 1,000 users or more, which enhances governance and significantly increases app and API limits."
"We are already seeing success, such as at JX Advanced Metals Corporation, where 4,200 employees globally use Kintone to digitize workflows, saving an estimated 6,000 hours annually," Aono added.
To further accelerate this growth, Cybozu is hosting its first-ever Kintone Days Global 2025 event across four Asian cities - Bangkok, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Taipei in September. The landmark conference convened over 1,000 business leaders and IT experts to demonstrate real-world applications of GenAI, highlighting the newly launched Kintone AI Lab as a tool to democratize technology and address the local tech talent gap.
A key focus of this global push is product innovation. The company recently launched Kintone AI Lab, a beta program providing customers with free access to new Generative AI (GenAI) features.
These new chat-based tools empower "citizen developers" by allowing any employee to create applications and workflows simply by describing their needs in a conversation. Key releases include the AI App Creator, which builds apps based on specified requirements, and the AI Process Creator, which configures appropriate workflows based on user requests.
"A new wave of digital transformation is being driven not just by IT departments but by everyday employees," said Tsubasa Nakazawa, Managing Director of Kintone Southeast Asia. "Low-code and no-code platforms were the first step. Now, generative AI takes it further, allowing people to simply describe what they want in everyday language, and AI instantly generates functional applications and workflows tailored to their needs."
