During this time, you will be unable to access your Kintone account. This includes those already on AWS and those who still need to be migrated.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Migration is required for any account with a free trial created before September 8, 2019. It will be performed separate from our regular monthly maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Schedule<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>April 19th (Sun) 8:00pm PDT &#8211; April 20th 2:00am PDT<br>May 16th (Sat) 8:00pm PDT &#8211; May 17th 2:00am PDT<br>June 20th (Sat) 8:00pm PDT &#8211; June 21st 2:00am PDT<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For accounts that need migration, we will reach out directly to inform you of the specific date and time you\u2019ll be migrating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Downtime<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Max 6 hours for each round of migration. To reduce any inconvenience, the migration will take place late at night on the weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Does my Kintone account need to be migrated?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From&nbsp;<strong>Portal Home<\/strong>, click the&nbsp;<strong>Gear Wheel<\/strong>&nbsp;and click&nbsp;<strong>Users &amp; System Administration<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From the\u00a0<strong>Service Usage<\/strong>\u00a0page, see\u00a0<strong>Domain ID<\/strong>.<figure><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"274\" height=\"68\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kintone.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Screen-Shot-2020-02-13-at-3.05.21-PM.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4214\"><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><\/figure><\/div>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If your domain id starts with a \u201c&nbsp;<strong>y<\/strong>\u201d, you\u2019re already using Kintone on AWS and no migration will be needed for your account. Please note, there will be downtime for your account while others migrate. For more details, see&nbsp;<strong>Notes on Migration<\/strong>&nbsp;above.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your domain id starts with a \u201c<strong>c<\/strong>\u201d, migration is required for your account. Please read the information in this article to learn more about migration details and the changes to come once you\u2019re migrated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What do I need to be aware of if my account needs to be migrated?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review&nbsp;<strong>Notes on Migration<\/strong>&nbsp;to see the migration schedule &amp; downtime.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our new payment management system (get.kintone.com), will be temporarily unavailable after migration. Please&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kintone.com\/us\/contact\/\" target=\"_blank\">contact us<\/a>&nbsp;if you need to update your subscription during this time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review&nbsp;<strong>Improvements &amp; Changes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Client Certificates, Basic Authentication, and External Mail Accounts will no longer be available after migration. If you use any of those and would like to discuss this change,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kintone.com\/us\/contact\/\" target=\"_blank\">contact us here<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.kintone.com\/us\/contact\/\" target=\"_blank\">Contact us<\/a>&nbsp;if you have any questions. We\u2019re happy to walk you through the changes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After migration, there will be some limitations through the search bar and filtering records using &#8220;contains&#8221; and &#8220;does not contain\u201d while the system finishes indexing. For most accounts, this will be completed within a few hours. We will announce the completion of indexing at &#8220;Status Page&#8221; after each migration.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Improvements &amp; Changes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data Security &amp; Operating Environment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For more details on data security and the operating environment after migration, visit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kintone.com\/us\/security\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">Data Security &amp; Operating Environment<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Search Performance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Kintone\u2019s search feature will be enhanced with boosted performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Changes in Record Filtering &amp; Full Text Search<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Symbols will be treated differently\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Certain symbols (#, _, +), which were previously treated as characters, will be treated as delimiters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The string &#8220;ABC_123&#8221; will be found by &#8220;ABC&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The keyword &#8220;ABC_123&#8221; will find both &#8220;ABC\/123&#8221; and &#8220;ABC_123_456&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Text extraction will not be performed against DocuWorks files&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Surrogate pairs will be searchable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Linking Guest Accounts Between Domains<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Guest accounts can be linked only between domains on kintone.com. After migration, existing links between Kintone domains will be unlinked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Store System<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No Store Account<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kintone Store (https:\/\/store.kintone.com) will no longer be available. Kintone Users &amp; System Administrators can access their payment management via SSO from Users &amp; System Administration (get.kintone.com).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Automatic Renewals<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After migration, all annual accounts will be automatically renewed on their renewal date. If you\u2019d like to terminate your Kintone subscription, you must cancel your account prior to the renewal date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Users &amp; System Administration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Introducing App-based Two-Factor Authentication<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>With the introduction of two-factor authentication (2FA), Client Certificates and Basic Authentication will be discontinued. Users will be required to use a smartphone app if they want to use 2FA.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please Note: Users who have enabled 2FA cannot use password authentication for REST API. This will result in an error. As a workaround, use a different authentication method (API token, session authentication, or OAuth authentication) or disable 2FA for the user.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the removal of Client Certificates and Basic Authentication, there will be no way to bypass IP address restrictions. If you\u2019d like to customize details of authentication and security settings, we recommend integrating with SAML and do it when logging in to the IdP side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IP Address Restrictions and Domain Name Settings<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>With the removal of the Kintone Store (https:\/\/store.kintone.com), IP address restrictions and Domain Name settings have been moved to Users &amp; System Administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Removal of the External Email Server for System Mail Account<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After migration, Kintone will only provide a built-in mail server to send emails from Kintone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Service Usage Page<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After migration, the prefix of domain ID is \u201cy\u201d (previously \u201cc\u201d). To see your Domain ID, visit<a href=\"https:\/\/get.kintone.help\/store\/en\/contract\/domain.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;How to Check Your Domain ID<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To see the status of Kintone, visit<a href=\"https:\/\/kintone.statuspage.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">&nbsp;https:\/\/kintone.statuspage.io\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Data Usage<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After migration, Kintone will only count the volume of attachment files and will not count the data usage of MySQL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Auto Complete Login Name<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After migration, Auto Complete Login Name will no longer be available.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Others<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Status Page<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Status updates can be found at<a href=\"https:\/\/kintone.statuspage.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">&nbsp;https:\/\/kintone.statuspage.io\/<\/a>&nbsp;to centralize the delivery of information. We highly recommend signing up for email alerts by selecting &#8220;Subscribe to Updates&#8221; and entering your email address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Regular Maintenance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With AWS, there will be little to no downtime during monthly maintenance. If downtime is required, you will be informed of the scheduled maintenance on our status page:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/kintone.statuspage.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">https:\/\/kintone.statuspage.io\/<\/a><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Network (IP Address Ranges)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>IP address ranges for Kintone servers are changed and static files are also delivered via CDN.
